MENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Mental Health Professionals (CTT)

Full-time salaried position operating within a community based treatment team and psychosocial support services for consumers with serious and persistent mental health problems. This is a 24 hour/7 day/week program with an integrated on-call system. Minimum qualifications include: Master’s degree in psychosocial sciences field and 2 years professional experience, minimum 21 years old, valid PA driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation. Experience with MISA (mentally ill substance abuser) is highly preferred.

 

Support Services Caseworker – (Supported Housing)

Full-time salaried position assisting mental health consumers in finding and maintaining permanent housing in the community.  Work hours are flexible and based on consumer needs.  This is predominately a direct care position; caseworker’s hours will be spent in client’s homes, assisting them with their housing needs.  Minimum qualifications: Direct experience with the problems of persons living in culturally, socially, and economically disadvantaged communities, including two years of demonstrated group leadership experience in the community OR an equivalent combination of experience and training; 21 years old, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record and reliable transportation. PA State Police Background Check.

 

Program Coordinator (Supported Housing)

Full time salaried position. This position is responsible for the overall operation of the program, staff supervision and hiring new staff, attaining goals set for program growth and development, coordinating direct and administrative services, maintaining all records, such as census records and client files. This position will also be responsible for attending staff meetings, rotating the on-call time as assigned, and transport clients as necessary. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in social science or four (4) years of human service experience; at least 21 years of age or older; must possess a valid  PA driver’s license, insurable driving record and use of a vehicle, as well as a PA state police background check.

 

MENTAL RETARDATION DEPARTMENT

Individual Service Workers/ Independent Care Providers  (SELF Program)

Full and Part time openings in the Hanover /Adams area.  This position provides “hands-on” client-directed education which may include: personal care, household equipment, money management, using various forms of transportation, and other training which will allow the client to live as independently as possible within the community.  Work hours are flexible, will include evening and weekend hours, and are based on the clients’ needs.  HS/GED; over the age of 18, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; ACT 33 and PA State Police Background Checks.

 

Residential Service Workers (Residential Program)

Full and Part-time positions available throughout York County, second and third shifts.  This position provides “hands-on’ services and support to enable individuals with mental retardation to live as independently as possible in a shared residential setting.  RSW’s are also responsible for carrying out all day-to-day duties necessary for the residential programs to operate smoothly. HS/GED; valid driver’s license for 2 years, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; and Act 33 and PA State Police Background Check.

 

Residential Program Supervisors (Marigold Rd, Hadley Dr.)

Full-time hourly position; schedule includes evenings and weekend hours. Manage residential site and supervise assigned RSW’s.  Provide and ensure that RSW’s provide hands-on direct services to people with mental retardation.  Responsible for ensuring all day-to-day activities necessary for their residential site to operate properly.  Minimum 21 years old, HS/GED and 2 years human service experience, current physical and Mantoux (TB) test, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation, Act 33 and PA State Police background checks. 

 

Residential Program Supervisor Behavior Management (Queen St)

This position is a key individual responsible for providing support for people with MR and a history of behavior challenges. This position is responsible for managing a residential home, supervising assigned RSWs, and the overall operation of the home, proper maintenance of required records, and ensuring direct services of the highest quality are provided to the consumers. Minimum qualifications are: HS diploma or equivalent and 2 years experience in the MH/MR field, at least 21 years of age, current drivers license and possession thereof for at least two consecutive years, own reliable vehicle, clean Act 33 clearance and PA criminal record.

 

BELL FAMILY SHELTER

Shelter Caseworker/Advocate

Full-time salaried position. Facilitates daily program goals of the Shelter residents; prepares and maintains required documentation and records; coordinates closely with other services and agencies. Assists Shelter residents in finding safe, affordable, permanent housing. Minimum qualifications: Associates' degree in social science OR college credits in social science OR two years' human service experience, valid driver's license and reliable transportation; PA State Police and Childline background checks.
