MENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Resident Counselor- (CRAS)
Part-time hourly position. Provide direct care service to consumers in a CRAS group home. Provide skills training, implement medication monitoring system, respond to client emergencies, assist clients in progress towards goals developed on their individual plans, and complete documentation. This position is responsible for overall maintenance, management, and cleanliness of the facility during the shift. This person will remain in the residence whenever a client is present. The schedule consists of working rotating shifts of three nights/days on, six nights/days off. Minimum qualifications include: one year of college credits in social science, or one year human service experience, must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, have an insurable driving record, and your own reliable transportation. This person must also be able to pass a physical exam, Mantoux (TB) test, and a PA State Police background check.
Mental Health Interview Specialist (CRAS)
Full time salaried position. Duties and responsibilities include: assistance to MH Department Program Coordinators on assessments of consumers, coordination on initial records and paperwork for new consumers, and contact with referral sources which may include marketing and overview of Bell’s MH services. Also includes participation in quality assurance efforts for the MH department. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years experience, age 21 years or older, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record and reliable transportation, and PA State Police background check.
Assisted Living Counselor- (CHIPP)
Full-Time hourly position. Provides direct care services in a residential program that will work with clients who have a chronic mental illness and may also have additional physical and/or medical needs. Monitor medications, respond to any client emergencies, provide supportive counseling, assist clients with activities of daily living and hygiene to the degree of the client’s needs, complete required documentation, transport clients as necessary, and ensure client safety. Qualifications include: one year of college credits in social science OR one year human service experience; minimum 21 years old; valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation; PA State Police background check.
Clubhouse Generalist
MH Clubhouse Generalist is a full-time salaried position. The Clubhouse Generalists primary responsibility is to assist and participate in the functioning of the Clubhouse, to include overseeing the assigned unit. Other responsibilities include unit-related responsibilities, such as assuring that the work for the day is completed, support service responsibilities such as providing support, training, and encouragement to members within the Clubhouse, and documentation responsibilities required by program procedures. Bachelor’s degree in a social science or high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years experience in human services which must include one year of direct mental health experience. Must have completed or will attend 12-hour psychiatric rehabilitation orientation training within one year of hire; 21 years old; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and insurable driving record. Pennsylvania State Police Background Check. Must have already completed or will attend three-week training at an International Center of Clubhouse Development (ICCD) certified training base within two years of employment, at the program coordinator’s direction.
MENTAL RETARDATION DEPARTMENT
Individual Service Workers/ Independent Care Providers (SELF Program)
Full and Part time openings in the Hanover /Adams and York area. This position provides “hands-on” client-directed education which may include: personal care, household equipment, money management, using various forms of transportation, and other training which will allow the client to live as independently as possible within the community. Work hours are flexible, and may include evening and weekend hours, and are based on the clients’ needs. HS/GED; over the age of 18, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; ACT 33 and PA State Police Background Checks.
Individual Service Supervisor- (SELF Program)
The ISS supervises direct care workers who provide consumer directed services and supports to families and consumers with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities. The ISS trains direct care staff in techniques and methods to employ when working with the individual. Part of the work week of the ISS will be spent in homes doing direct care. Minimum qualifications include- HS/GED, 2 years college OR 2 years human service experience. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; minimum 21 years old; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; Act 33 and PA State Police background checks
Residential Service Workers (Residential Program)
Full and Part-time positions available throughout York County, second and third shifts. This position provides “hands-on’ services and support to enable individuals with mental retardation to live as independently as possible in a shared residential setting. RSW’s are also responsible for carrying out all day-to-day duties necessary for the residential programs to operate smoothly. HS/GED; valid driver’s license for 2 years, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; and Act 33 and PA State Police Background Check.
Residential Program Supervisors (Boxwood Rd, Queen St, Marigold Rd)
Full-time hourly position; schedule includes evenings and weekend hours. Manage residential site and supervise assigned RSW’s. Provide and ensure that RSW’s provide hands-on direct services to people with mental retardation. Responsible for ensuring all day-to-day activities necessary for their residential site to operate properly. Minimum 21 years old, HS/GED and 2 years human service experience, current physical and Mantoux (TB) test, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation, Act 33 and PA State Police background checks.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Residential Services
Full Time Salaried position. This position provides services and support to enable individuals with mental retardation to live as independently as possible in a shared residential setting. Some duties include: ensure client needs/licensing requirements are met, communication with others, utilization of best practices, attend 24 hours of training a year, travel and schedule may vary based on client needs. Minimum qualifications include; HS diploma (or equivalent), current PA LPN license; 2 years professional experience, current physical and Mantoux (TB) test required, valid PA driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation. PA State Police background check/ Childline also required.
BELL FAMILY SHELTER
Cleaning Person
Full-time hourly position. Work schedule is M-F. Perform all routine daily cleaning tasks. Perform deep cleaning on all levels of the Shelter. Report all necessary maintenance needs. Must be able to lift minimum of 25 pounds. PA State Police and Act 33 Childline clearances.
RE-SOURCE YORK
Truck Driver
Full-Time hourly position. The truck driver is responsible for picking up donations and delivering purchased items, and providing excellent customer service. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED, Valid Driver’s License, Ability to lift at least 50lbs. Prior truck driving and retail experience a plus.
